Chocolate and Christmas go hand in hand but everyone has their own opinion on which is the best.

Sweet Digital carried out a survey to uncover the most popular Christmas time chocolates and these were the results - ranked from best to worst.

1. Heroes' Dairy Milk

The classic Dairy Milk was ranked top in the nation's favourite Christmas chocs.

2. Quality Street's Strawberry Delight

This iconic strawberry flavoured chocolate proved popular in second place.

3. Roses' Hazel Whirl

In third place was the Hazel Whirl.

4. Roses' Golden Barrel

Always a favourite at Christmas - the Golden Barrel.

5. Celebrations' Malteser Teasers

Does the Malteser Teaser last long in your tin of chocolates at Christmas time?

6. Cadbury's Eclairs

The chocolate Eclair was ranked in the middle tier.

7. Celebrations' Mars

The mini Mars Bar is favoured by many but only reached 7th place.

8. Celebrations' Twix
