Man in hospital with 'serious' injuries after Dingwall incident

A MAN is in hospital with serious injuries after an early morning incident in Ross-shire's county town.

A teenager is expected to appear in court tomorrow after being charged and arrested in connection to the incident.

The report of an "altercation" involving two men in the Hill Street area of Dingwall was received by police on Saturday morning.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We received a report of an altercation involving two men around 5.10am on Saturday, August 1.

"A 36-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment to serious injuries.

"An 18-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident and will appear at Inverness Sheriff Court on Monday, August 3."
