Tain woman admits 'tumbler assault'

A TAIN woman who assaulted a man with a tumbler faces sentence in July.

Joanne McGuinness (36), of Cromartie Gardens, appeared at Inverness Sheriff Court yesterday charged with assaulting the man with a tumbler on September 3 last year .

McGuinness admitted assaulting Charles Flinn while acting with another by striking him on the head with a tumbler and thereafter striking him on the body to his injury.

Sentence was deferred until July 1 by sheriff David Sutherland for criminal justice social work reports.
