Ferry passengers in Wester Ross are facing major disruption on Monday after strong winds sparked multiple cancellations.

In an update to passengers at 5.35am this morning CalMac confirmed that Monday's 7am and 2pm departures from Stornoway to Ullapool, and the 10.309am Ullapool to Stornoway sailing have all been cancelled.

And they warned that the 5.30pm Ullapool to Stornoway crossing is also at risk of cancellation at short notice. Passengers have been urged to check for updates as the day progresses.

The rough weather also looks set to continue overnight, with an early warning also in place for possible disruption to Tuesday's 7am Stornoway to Ullapool sailing too.
