A STRATHPEFFER reunion of the Ross and Sutherland constabulary re-affirmed “the strong bond” that remains between the members.

On May 16 1975, the former Ross and Sutherland Constabulary amalgamated with the other north forces to form the Northern Constabulary, which existed until the creation of the national force on April 1 2013.

To celebrate this, the Ross and Sutherland Constabulary held their fourth reunion at the Ben Wyvis Hotel in Strathpeffer, on May 30.

One of the former constables attending, Hamish Milne said: “This is the fourth such reunion held, and despite dwindling numbers, there remains a strong bond among us. The first such reunion was held in May 2000.”
