STRICTLY Inverness kicked off last night at Inverness Ice Centre as eight couples took to the stage in an effort to make it through to Saturday's finale.

Four couples moved on to the next round - Janie McRobert and Graeme Bell, Kelly Blackmore and Chris Maclennan, Debbie Campbell and Michael Murray and overall winners of the night Carly Fraser and Scott Crichton.

Carly and Scott jumped with joy when they found out they had won and were joined by a large round of applause.

It was tough competition and the judges scores were close, but now the four couples will dance again on Saturday.

The annual charity competition raises money for the Highland Hospice and Inverness Ice Centre.

The Highland Hospice wrote on Facebook: "Well done to ALL of you - what a night and what a buzz!"
