Battle to restore power after Storm Floris as first details of Ross-shire food outlets flagged by SSEN
THOUSANDS of people across Ross-shire left without power as a result of Storm Floris are being offered support from the area’s electricity transmission network operator as engineers battle what SSEN is calling “the most-damaging summer storm in recent memory”.
Many households across the Highlands are waiting updates on when their electricity supply will be restored after the network across the north took a massive hit from yesterday’s storm.
SSEN said: “Our focus right now is two-pronged; to identify and fix the major network damage that’s been done as safely and quickly as we can, and to look after you - our customers - while this challenging work goes on.
