THE strength of a Ross-shire school community was evident for all to see as it celebrated its 50th anniversary with a drive to improve facilities for pupils.

St Clement’s special school in Dingwall is at the heart of the Ross-shire county town’s community and enjoys widespread support for its work.

Party attendee Michelle Mackay said: "What a lovely wholesome morning spent. The pupils, teachers, St Clement's Parent Council and parents work so hard for the school.

"The decorations, the cakes and the service was top class. Thank you so much for inviting me to your event.

"I purchased a small jute bag and an amazing home-made coaster. All funds raised from these items are going to help fund an inclusive and engaging playpark for the children."

St Clement's Parent Council said: "A massive thank you to the young people, teachers, support teachers and helpers for an amazing job they did at the coffee morning.

"It was a great turn out, so busy! Our young people did amazing serving everyone. All food looked and tasted yummy. Pupils made the decorations as well.

"Thank you to the community for always helping us."
