Store sheep and rare breedssale prices at Dingwall and Highland Marts

DINGWALL and Highland Marts Ltd sold 1944 store sheep.

Lambs (1305) averaged £55.15 and sold to £89 gross for a Dorset lamb from Knockdee Farm, Halkirk.

Ewes (405) averaged £47.83 and sold to £100 gross for a pen of Cheviot ewes from Wellbeck Estates.

Rams (34) sold to £180 gross for a cheviot from Pelaig, Dingwall.

Feeding Sheep (200) sold to £95 gross for a Mule gimmer from Gorthleck Mains, Inverness.

The verdict: “A mixed show on offer sold at recent rates”
