Dingwall mart prices at sheep and lamb sale

DINGWALL and Highland Marts sold 7828 sheep of all classes including the annual spring sale of ewe lambs.

Ewe lambs (4083) averaged £90.88 (+£23.14) and sold to £150 gross for a pen of Beltex from Marian, Evanton.

Wedder lambs (2944) averaged £94.01 (+£36.43) and sold to £160 gross for a pen of crosses from Earlish, Uig.

Ewes and feeding sheep (692) sold to £146 gross for a Suffolk ewe from 30 Balallan, Lochs.

Breeding sheep (109) sold to £128 gross for a pen of cross ewes with lamb at foot from Silverwells, Edderton.
