AN Alness teacher has shared his heartfelt wishes for the P7 class he “has a soft spot for” as they prepare to leave behind their primary school days and move on to high school.
Coulhill Primary School’s P7s were the first class that teacher Andrew Clark taught when he first became qualified, and he has dubbed teaching the youngsters as “one of the most profoundly rewarding experiences” of his life.

Mr Clark said: “I taught this class for the first time after I qualified as a teacher three years ago, and have had them again this year as P7s, so I’ve got a soft spot for this class.
“Teaching these incredible kids has been one of the most profoundly rewarding and proudest experiences of my life. Each day spent with them has been filled with joy, laughter and an abundance of learning. They are an exceptionally upbeat, fun-loving and immensely talented group who have brought so much light and energy into my world. It has truly been a privilege and a pleasure to guide them.
“As they step into the future, I wish them nothing but the best.”
The youngsters will enjoy a seven-week-long summer holidays. many will begin S1 at the nearby Alness Academy.
Giving his last gem of advice to the year-group, Mr Clark said: “Please stay in touch, and never forget that it’s better to be wonderfully unique than to blend into the mundane. Keep shining brightly, and embrace your beautiful, quirky selves!”
