School closures in the Highlands

Six schools and three nurseries in the Highlands have so far announced they will be closed or will open later today.

A total of 259 pupils at five primary schools and 47 pupils at one secondary school are affected plus 20 children at three nurseries..

They are

Achiltibuie Primary: Partially closed - opening 1 hour later

Achiltibuie Primary Nursery: Partially closed - opening 1 hour later:

Keiss Primary: Closed

Keiss Primary Nursery: Closed

Kilchuimen Academy: Partially closed - opening 1 hour later

Kilchuimen Primary: Partially closed - opening 1 hour later

Kilchuimen Primary Nursery: Partially closed - opening 1 hour later

Lochinver Early Learning and Childcare: Closed

Lochinver Primary: Closed

Portree Primary: Partially closed - opening 1 hour later

Four primary schools affecting 247 pupils

One secondary school affecting 47 pupils

Two nurseries affecting 16 children.
