DELIGHTED organisers think they may raise as much as £6000 for charity after another successful scale model show and family fun day.

The annual event, which took place at the Black Isle Showground in Muir of Ord, drew scale model fans from as far afield as Raasay, eager to display their intricate creations.

A busy craft fair, vintage vehicles and family-friendly rides were also among the attractions.

Black Isle farmers Andrew Cameron and wife Claire organised the day in aid of Marie Curie. Mr Cameron said £5600 had been raised from this year’s event so far, and he’s hopeful that £6000 is in sight. He added that the turnout from the public had been very good.
