Organisers of the Torvean Parkrun in Inverness have cancelled tomorrow's event.

The event – typically run every Saturday morning at venues across the country – attracts a number of regulars from Ross-shire.

In a social media post a spokeswoman said: "We regret we have to cancel. Hopefully just this week is affected.

"Enjoy your run at Aviemore, Elgin, Alness or further afield if you're venturing out. Thanks for your understanding."

The move followed the arrival of a group of travellers who set up camp in Torvean Park in Inverness earlier this week.
