THE Dingwall Community Fridge team is appealing for volunteers to help with stock pick-ups and cleaning.

The group was set up during the Covid-19 pandemic to help ease the burden on locals with a supply of food donated by supermarkets and still good to eat.

The facility, close to St Clement's Primary School, recently marked its first anniversary.

Organisers are looking for help with pick-ups from Dingwall and Conon Bridge Co-ops and Dingwall Tesco and with cleaning the fridge and stocking up shelves.

It says volunteers are wanted for as little as 20 minutes or for one collection per week.

Stock collections are typically at 8pm and between 8am and 10am.

Cleaning can be done any time to suit volunteer and takes 20 minutes.

It said: "You can give as much or as little time as you are able to. We’ll be very happy to hear from you. Please contact Fiona on chair.dcf@gmail.com. Take care and stay well. Dingwall Community Fridge team."
