Ross-shire talent makes mark on Inverness Music Festival; Highland music festival results in full

PARTICIPANTS from across Ross-shire played their part in making one of the top music events in the Highlands another success story.
The Inverness Music Festival attracted entries from across the county in disciplines ranging from accordion and fiddle to piping and public speaking.
Over the course of the week, there were more than 540 performances from in excess of 2300 performers.
Invergordon piper Rory Dobson (16) was hailed for “outstanding performances” which saw him take home three trophies including the Curtis Craig Memorial Quaich for Piping.
Anndra Cumming of Gairloch High School made an impression in the solo advanced accordion section and the open, winning both.
Pupils from Craighill Primary from Tain and Strathpeffer Primary were both on song in the choral competitions.
Wednesday saw the Premiere Competition which rounded off proceedings of Inverness Music Festival 2020 at Eden Court.
Over the course of the week there were more than 540 performances from in excess of 2300 performers.
