Tesco Dingwall customers dig deep for town's St Clement's School at a special in-store collection

CUSTOMERS and staff at a Dingwall supermarket rallied to a local school's fundraising drive today – with a little help from a special announcement!

The Tesco in Dingwall's Mart Road hosted staff and pupils from St Clement's School.

They were there to promote their summer raffle to raise funds for the school.

Tesco community champion Michelle Mackay said: "Our exceptionally generous customers and staff helped them raise an impressive £470.00 in three hours!

"Absolutely amazing – thank you all so much."

She said the "star of the show was the lovely Cameron" who was given access to the in-store tannoy system behind the customer service desk.

She said: "He made an announcement informing customers why they were there!"
