Gairloch High School in Wester Ross amongst several Highland Council schools closed today with almost 300 pupils across region affected

A WESTER Ross secondary school was amongst several across the Highlands closed today.

Highland Council's daily list of school closures says Gairloch High School is affected by problems categorised as 'no water/heating/power'.

The list also includes:

Invergarry Primary Nursery: Closed (Covid-19 related)

Kinlochbervie Pre-school: Closed (unforeseen circumstances)

Kinlochleven High School: Partially closed – open to S4-S6 (unforeseen circumstances)

Kinlochleven Primary Nursery: Closed (unforeseen circumstances)

Tongue Primary: Closed (bad weather)

The problems affect around 250 secondary pupils, 18 primary pupils and 22 at nursery.
