AN Easter Ross primary school teacher has urged people to resist the temptation to spread false rumours about Covid-19.

The head teacher at South Lodge Primary in Invergordon used the school's social media channel to make his point.

David Hayes-Macleod wrote: "I would like to squash some rumours right now.

"There are no positive cases of children or staff with Covid-19 at South Lodge Primary School. Believe me, if there was then those that would need to know would know. It really does not help when rumours like this are circulated."

The message has been widely endorsed and shared within the school community.
