REPORTS of two people getting into difficulties near a Highland outdoor attraction triggered a multi-agency response which included volunteers with a Ross-shire mountain rescue team.

Dundonnell Mountain Rescue Team volunteers were involved in the rescue near Plodda Falls yesterday after two people got into difficulties in a nearby river.

The pair made their own way out of the river but then could not be located.

They were eventually found, several hours later on a track near the Falls suffering from the effects of the cold, the Dundonnell team said.

Plodda Falls is a waterfall on a route popular with walkers south-west of Tomich, near Glen Affric.
