A man forced his way through the window of his ex-partner’s parent’s house to confront another man she was with.

Andrew Miller (38), of Neil Gunn Road, Dingwall, turned up at the home in Strathpeffer on May 18, 2024, knocking on the door and then appearing at the utility room.

Fiscal depute Sophie Marshall told Sheriff Sara Matheson that Miller then climbed through a window and was asked to leave by his ex-partner but pushed past her.

She said: “He stormed through in an aggressive manner.”

He demanded to speak them making them feel anxious and vulnerable, Inverness Sheriff Court heard.

Miller’s defence John McColl said his client went to the house to pick up a dog and was surprised another man was there and this is why he acted aggressively.

Miller pled guilty to behaving in a threatening and abusive manner to cause a person fear or harm.

He was fined a total of £580 and given a non-harassment order for 18 months.
