Ross-shire Journal reporter shares top tips with Inverness primary school youngsters
A Ross-shire Journal reporter called in on an Inverness primary school to share an insight into what it’s like being a journalist.
Iona MacDonald (18) visited Bishop’s Eden Primary School to share the tips and tricks she has picked up over her time working at local media group Highland News and Media, over the last two years.
She explained to the youngsters in P4-7 what a day in the life of a journalist looks like, and how to write your own story to capture the attention of readers.
The enthusiastic youngsters at the primary school were keen to share their thoughts and opinions on recent news stories they had seen, and ask probing questions about how to write the best news story.
Iona was invited into the school following the Storyflower Project, where the youngsters have been growing their own sunflowers and writing about the experience.
