DINGWALL Gaelic Choir got back to doing what it does best last week–singing together.

The group took advantage in the easing of lockdown restrictions to meet together in a socially distanced way in the grounds of Dingwall Academy.

During the lockdown the choir had continued to practice via online platform Zoom that allowed people to sing individually but not as a whole choir.
Depending on the restrictions at the time, there are unlikely to be choir competitions at the Royal National Mod this year, but that didn't stop the multi–award winning choristers getting together to enjoy going through their paces.

After posting a message about the choir on the group's Facebook page, followers responded with delight.

Connie Matheson said: "Love this. Happy for you all. So longing to get together other than zoom, with all our choir."

Dundee Gaelic Choir said: "Wonderful - so lovely to see you all enjoying singing together."

Another follower, Elaine Morris said: "Fantastic!!! I hope it stays dry in Glasgow and maybe we can have a go – Glasgow Phoenix Choir."

Kirsty jack, from Edinburgh, said: "Lovely lovely lovely to see this! Enjoy lovely peeps!"

The choir are also hoping to attract new members to the group.

A spokeswoman said: "Has life in lockdown made you want to try different things? Have you considered joining a choir?

"Dingwall Gaelic Choir is looking for new members and would love to hear from you! Please send an email to info@dingwallgaelicchoir.co.uk for more information."
