Tain family celebrates birth of daughter on New Year's Day at Raigmore Hospital in Inverness

ONE Highland family has an added reason to celebrate the start of 2021 – after their baby was born on New Year's Day.

Lyla Frances Mohan was born at 11.17am yesterday.

The wee tot, who weighed in at 7lbs 9oz, is the daughter of Cheryl Alicia Cowie and Dylan Edwin Mohan from Tain.

She was born six days early at Raigmore Hospital in Inverness.

Lyla's parents said: "We are over the moon with happiness and so thankful to the labour team and everyone who made this the best and calming experience you could ask for."
