Ross-Shire Engineering makes investment in Bristol-based Control and Automation company General Panel Systems (GPS)

Water treatment engineering group, Ross-Shire Engineering (RSE), has today announced

a majority investment in Bristol-based GPS and GPS Links.

GPS are experts in High Performance Motor Control Centres (MCCs), MCC manufacturing and systems integration, LV power distribution and control panels, as well as being an industry leader in software development and integration, using PLC and SCADA solutions.

The move for the technology company further bolsters RSE’s power distribution and controls

systems portfolio, which includes Blackburn Starling, TCS, Saftronics and DPS Group.

The acquisition expands RSE’s technical skills and resources, with 50 skilled personnel

strategically positioned in the southwest of England and southern Wales.

The move is expected to support increasing demand for RSE’s modular water treatment

solutions in England, as well as enhance service offerings to existing customers.

Jason Smith, RSE power distribution and control director commented:

“We are pleased to welcome the team at GPS into our portfolio of businesses.

"The acquisition further establishes RSE as the largest power distribution and control systems

provider in the UK market.

"The additional technical skills and manufacturing capacity will enable RSE to fulfil demand for its innovative modular treatment plants, whilst opening up new doors and solutions to customers in England and Wales.”
