Ross-shire community set to net £2million in postcode lottery game
LUCKY neighbours in a Ross-shire community are set to scoop a £2million windfall just before Christmas.
The People's Postcode Lottery has confirmed that players in Conon Bridge have come good in the latest Christmas Postcode Millions draw.
The winning postcode sector has been revealed as IV7 8, with all People’s Postcode Lottery players living in that exact area set to win cash prizes.
Those living in the full winning postcode – to be revealed at a private party on Saturday, December 29 – will win the lion’s share of the prize.
Scotland hashad its good run of luck with the Postcode Millions now landing eleven times across the country since the scheme began.
Most recently, residents in Cupar walked away with a total of £2 million in July this year and residents of Thurso shared £2.1 million in April 2010 .
Players of People’s Postcode Lottery have raised over £21.3m for good causes to date, including CHILDREN 1 and Maggie’s Cancer Caring Centres which both operate throughout Scotland and in the local Inverness area.
The charities have received over £2.2 million and £2.4 million to date respectively to support the work they do every single day.
Funding from players of the lottery also supports a variety of good causes all over the country.
People’s Postcode Lottery ambassador, Judie McCourt, said: “We are over the moon that the Postcode Millions has landed in Scotland again – what a great way to end the year. Conon Bridge is such a tight-knit community, so it’s fantastic that everyone playing in the postcode, IV7 8, will win a share of the £2 million. Congratulations to everyone!”
Organisers will reveal more details online at postcodelottery.co.uk and in the press ahead of December 29. Winners will be contacted from the end of next week onwards.
