'No further police action required' after major disturbance at Jaki Fish and Chip Shop in Muir of Ord as angry crowd react to disrespectful video posted after death of Queen

POLICE attended a Ross-shire village last night when an angry crowd gathered outside a fish and chip shop after its owner posted a video following the death of Queen Elizabeth II.
Video footage of a crowd of people assembled outside Jaki Fish and Chip Shop in Muir of Ord circulated rapidly online with many taking to social media to voice their disgust.
A video of the owner apparently celebrating the death of the monarch proved to be a flashpoint at a sensitive time.
It's understood some of the windows of the premises were broken and that the proprietor of the Seaforth Road business, Jaki Pickett, was escorted from the building by police.
Footage shared on the internet shows several police vehicles and officers in the vicinity.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said today: “Shortly after 8.30pm on Thursday, September 8 officers attended at a business in the Seaforth Road area of Muir of Ord following a report of a large crowd gathered in the area.
“Officers remained at the scene to ensure the safety of all present and the group subsequently dispersed peacefully. No further police action has been required.”
Mnay took to social media to voice their disgust over the turn of events.
One posted: "'Not one ounce of respect for anyone or anything except herself. I will never step foot back in your shop again."
Ms Pickett could not be contacted for comment.
