Ross-shire schools on mounting closure list as 3500-plus pupils stay home

MORE than 3500 nursery, primary and secondary school pupils in the Highlands have been affected by school closures today.

Ross-shire schools affected by closure due to what Highland Council describe as unforeseen circumstances include Bualnaluib in Wester Ross; Craighill and Knockbreck Primary Schools in Tain; Hill of Fearn; Hilton of Cadboll; Marybank Primary; Resolis Primary nursery; St Clement's special school in Dingwall and St Duthus special school in Tain.

Fortrose Academy is open for S4 to S6 pupils.

Craighill and Knockbreck in Tain were closed earlier this week as a precautionary measure until further notice after consultation with public health.
