A ROSS-SHIRE medical group has shared its latest Covid vaccination plans with patients on its register.

Tain and District Medical Group says it is continuing vaccine clinics mostly Monday to Friday and is continuing to call patients in for appointments.

It added: "These clinics are entirely dependent on vaccine supply which is small and irregular and this does mean that appointments are sometimes at shorter notice than we would prefer for you.

"If you can't come when we ask don't worry we will contact you again!"

The 16-64 at risk group will be invited over the next few weeks for immunisation, it said. Those aged 16 and 17 will be invited by the NHS Highland team rather than the practice.

In line with NHS Highland policy, it will be starting with the oldest patients in this group and working through to the youngest.

It posted: "We understand that there is going to be some publicity from Scottish Government very soon about unpaid carers who will be vaccinated alongside this 'at risk' group by the practice."

It flags NHS Inform as a good source for answers to regularly asked questions about the virus.

It added: "Everyone is keen to be vaccinated as soon as possible and we continue to appreciate your patience."
