CHILDREN across Ross-shire have been putting smiles on faces with heartfelt messages of hope posted in windows across the county.

The coronavirus lockdown has inspired a sprinkling of rainbow paintings being posted in windows as a show of solidarity.

Hilton of Cadboll Primary School came up with the idea of encouraging locals placing teddies in their house windows, allowing children to go on a bear hunt during their daily walk.
