Ross County Football Club stars have chipped in a contribution to raise awareness of a global event aimed at getting people talking about mental health.

World Mental Health Day –being marked today – is an international day for global mental health education, awareness and advocacy against social stigma.

It was first celebrated in 1992 at the initiative of the World Federation for Mental Health, a global mental health organization with members and contacts in more than 150 countries.

Ross County FC has shared a video highlighting its support for the initiative and also signposting its hook-up with Highland-based Mikeysline.

"You can't see it, touch it or feel it," says the message shared by a series of different players. "But it can affect each and every one of us. That's why we are helping to raise awareness of organisations supporting mental health. Saturday, October 10 in World Mental Health Day and we can all play a part."
