A ROSS County legend has been named the guest speaker at a webinar which aims to help participants manage and adapt to change – such as that posed by the current Covid-19 pandemic.
'Managing the new normal – a learning conversation' is the title given to the session being hosted by the Virtual Learning Academy.
Guest speaker is Ross County Football Club chief executive officer, Steven Ferguson, who played 220 times for the club.
Mr Ferguson began his coaching career by combining his last couple of years playing by coaching within academy and community structures.
When he retired he took up a role as a Scottish FA football development officer covering Clackmannanshire. He returned to Ross County FC in 2010 and over the past decade has held a number of roles including assistant manager, Academy director and interim manager.
In March 2018 he was appointed co-manager alongside Stuart Kettlewell,. Together they won the Scottish Championship, Irn-Bru Cup and Ladbrokes manager of the season.
He holds the UEFA Pro Licence Diploma and was appointed CEO in June 2020.
The session, planned for Thursday, December 3, aims to get managers and leaders to reflect on their handling of the Covid-19 crisis and through discussions with others and, with VLA resources and tutors, look "at how they can adapt to ensure they not only survive but thrive".
Mr Ferguson will talk about his rise to a top leadership position and managing through coronavirus.
Participants will be provided with a "thought-provoking exercise" prior to the webinar. The aim is to help them to reflect on how they or their organisation have managed the crisis.
The free introductory webinar promises "a new innovative way of developing managers and leaders in the Covid crisis".
