Ten days of surfacing work on A835 north of Garve set to start on Monday with 'greatly improved' stretch of road the goal, says BEAR Scotland

Surfacing improvements on the A835 north of Garve are set to get under way on Monday, May 30.
The proposed improvements will see just over 1.6km of the A835 resurfaced north of Silverbridge, creating a smoother and safer road for motorists.
The project is expected to take place over ten days between 7am and 7pm.
All works are expected to be completed by 7pm on Monday, June 13.
No works will take place over the weekend periods or on Friday, June 3.

To ensure the safety of roadworkers and road users alike, a 10mph convoy system will be in place during working hours. Traffic management will be removed outwith working hours; however, a temporary 30mph speed limit will remain in place as road users will be travelling over a temporary surface.
Access through the works site for emergency services will be maintained at all times.
Access to local properties will also be maintained; however, there may be times where access is restricted for a short period of time.

These works are weather dependant and in the event of unforeseen weather conditions the above timescales for traffic management may have to be extended until works are completed.
Emergency services will be able to pass through the works at all times.
