BBC announces release date for new series Scottish Fling starring Line of Duty star Martin Compston and presenter Phil MacHugh on a road trip across Scotland with scenes filmed in the Highlands

A NEW TV series starring a popular Scottish actor with scenes filmed in the Highlands will be broadcast in September.

The release date for Scottish Fling, a new show which will see Scottish actor Martin Compston and TV presenter Phil MacHugh going on a road trip across Scotland, has been announced, with the show expected to air on BBC Scotland from Thursday, September 8 and on BBC Two from the following day.

The actor of Line of Duty fame was seen filming with the crew in locations across the Highlands and Islands, with a scene being filmed in April at Balintore Beach in Easter Ross.
