PUPILS at a Wester Ross secondary have abided by advice to self-isolate following a confirmed Covid-19 case at the school.

Gairloch High School parents were advised on Friday last week of a positive test involving a pupil there.

On advice from the NHS Highland Health Protection Team, all pupils in the mixed year groups S4-S6 have been asked to self-isolate for 14 days, as well as a small number of S1-S3 pupils who shared the school bus.

A Highland Council spokesperson said: “Today, we have 42 pupils attending Gairloch High School.

"All pupils who were asked to self-isolate are following this advice by the Health Protection Team”.
