Prime cattle and sheep sale prices at Dingwall and Highland Marts

DINGWALL and Highland Marts today sold 12 prime cattle.

Prime bullocks (2) averaged 210.8p (+0.5p) and sold to 216.0p per kg for a 600kg Charolais cross and £1,339.00 gross for a 650kg Limousin cross both from Bridgend Farm, Dingwall both selling to Messrs John M Munro Ltd, Dingwall.

Prime heifers (10) averaged 212.5p (+4.9p) and sold to 222.0p per kg for a 575kg Limousin cross and £1,358.90 gross for a 635kg Aberdeen Angus cross both from Bridgend Farm.

Heifers: Bridgend Farm, (LimX), 218.0p, 216.0p, (CharX), 215.0p, (AAX), 214.0p.

Also sold were 477 prime sheep..

New season lambs (384) averaged 195.1p (+5.7p) and sold to 204.7p per kg for a pen of 43kg Texel crosses from Lochdhu, Nairn and £95.50 gross for a pen of 53kg Texel crosses from Corrybrough, Tomatin selling to Messrs John M Munro Ltd, Dingwall

SQQ 36.5kg to 45.5kg (255) averaged 199.2p (+8.3p) per kg.

Feeding sheep (93) sold to £116 gross for a Texel ewe from Easter Dalziel Farm, Dalcross.
