Residents in Portmahomack have been having a competition to scare away Covid-19!
It was the idea of local woman Moira Everett to cheer up the children in the village in particular.
And Mary Maclean, who runs the Carnegie Cafe, is putting forward a prize, one of her popular wooden ducks which can also have the winner's name tagged to it.
Over the past week various creative scarecrows have appeared in every corner.
Alexandra More displayed "Dorris, the vaccine scientist"while Ben and Tom Sowerby had a cub scout celebrating VE Day and Christian Macrae-Howarth decided to bring Wimbledon to Portmahomack.
