Police investigating three care home burglaries in Inverness are probing whether the crimes are connected to previous break-ins in March.

Officers have sought help from the public after Cameron House in Culduthel Road, Kinmylies Lodge Care Home in Kinmylies Way and Highview House Care Home in Scorguie Avenue were targeted between Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning this week.

Nothing was taken from Highview House Care Home but around £700 was taken from the other two sites.

Detective Sergeant Graeme Johnstone believes these most recent break-ins are linked.

A grey Audi S5 was seen in each area.

In March the Isobel Fraser Care Home in Mayfield Road, Meallmore Lodge in Daviot and Wade Centre in Spey Street, Kingussie, were all broken into.

A Police Scotland spokesman has confirmed that one line of enquiry is trying to establish if the two sets of crimes are linked.

Anyone with any information is urged to either call 101, quoting incident 0040 of Wednesday, June 3, or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
