Man (45) posted missing believed to be in Ullapool area in Wester Ross; Man has connections to Shetland and may also have passed through Lairg

A MAN posted missing is believed to have been heading for the Ullapool area, police say.

Police are appealing for information to trace George Stove (45), who has been reported missing from Aberdeen.

George was last seen just after midnight on Saturday at his home in the Balnagask Road area of the city.

He is described as being white, 6ft 2in tall, with short brown hair and a beard.

Officers have been carrying out extensive enquiries to trace George and believe he is travelling using a white Ford Focus registered AO63 URZ).

He is believed to have made is way to the Ullapool area earlier this morning.

Sergeant Tom Spencer said: “As time moves on, we are growing increasingly concerned for George’s welfare and are appealing for anyone with information about his whereabouts to come forward.

“He is originally from Shetland, so it is possible he may be heading in that direction.

“If you have seen George or believe you have seen his white Ford Focus in the Ullapool or Lairg areas, please contact us.”

Anyone with information should call police on 101, quoting incident 0359 of September 19.
