POLICE have issued the description of a vehicle believed to have been driven dangerously in the heart of a Ross-shire town within an hour of being involved in an A9 collision.

And they believe dashcam footage from another motorist may be the key to tracing the driver of the car.

Highland police said tonight that they first reported incident was at 5.50pm yesterday (Tuesday, November 11) near the Tore roundabout at the Allangrange junction.

They said a collision occurred on the northbound A9 involving a white Skoda Superb being driven at excessive speed.

And then at 6.40pm, the same vehicle was seen being driven in a dangerous manner on and around the High Street area of Alness.

The vehicle "had notable accident damage to the left hand side".

Police are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed these incidents, particularly if they have any CCTV or dashcam footage.

Anyone with information in relation to this incident can contact police on 101 or via the Police Scotland website.

Anonymous reports can be made to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

The reference number to give is PS-20201110-2697 NE/4503/20.
