Police fear for welfare of missing Balintore woman (61)

ROSS-SHIRE police have issued an appeal for help to trace a 61-year-old woman from Balintore whose disappearance has sparked a coastal search.

Police say they have concerns for the welfare of Elizabeth Murray who was last seen in the Shandwick beach area near Balintore at around 8.50am this morning.

Elizabeth is described as being around 5ft 3in tall and of very slim build with shoulder length brown/greying hair.

Police are currently searching the Balintore area with the assistance of the Coastguard.

They have appealed to anyone who may have seen Elizabeth or has information as to her whereabouts to make contact on 101.
