TWO men have been charged in connection with a serious road crash which closed the A9 close to the Inshes turn-off earlier this month, police have confirmed.

Police Scotland said the two men, aged 29 and 25, have been charged with dangerous driving in connection with the one-vehicle crash.

The incident happened on the A9 southbound between the Raigmore Interchange and Inshes turn-off around 4.05pm on Monday, July 13.

A man in his 20s, who was driving a white Honda Intergra, suffered "serious" injuries in the one-vehicle crash and required treatment at Raigmore Hospital in Inverness.

The force said reports had been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
