Police charge 43-year-old man in connection to a 'disturbance' in Strathpeffer

Police have charged a 43-year-old man with a breach of the peace after a disturbance in Strathpeffer yesterday afternoon.

The incident, that happened around 1.40pm, saw emergency services attend an area around Park Terrace and nearby woodland.

Police and the Ambulance Service attended at the scene, with residents reporting that the area around the woodland had been closed off as officers made searches in the area.

Police have said there is no threat to the public.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: "A 43-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with a breach of the peace following a report of a disturbance in the Park Terrace area of Strathpeffer.

"A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.

“Officers were called around 1.40pm on Tuesday April 6, and enquiries were carried out in the area, including nearby woodland, but there is not considered to be any threat to the wider public.

"Enquiries are continuing to establish the full circumstances."
