'Extensive damage' and cash taken after Wester Ross golf clubhouse break-in

Police have appealed for information following a break-in at a clubhouse in Gairloch.

A BREAK-IN at a Wester Ross golf club resulted in "extensive damage" and the theft of a sum of money.

Police have now launched an appeal for information after the incident at Gairloch Golf Club.

The break-in at the clubhouse occurred between 11pm on Saturday and 9.30am on Sunday.

Police said in a statement: "A sum of cash was removed and extensive damage caused within the property."

They have asked for anyone who may have seen any people acting suspiciously or vehicles in the area during this time to come forward and contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number NE/2701/19.
