A young boy was bitten by a dog at a restaurant in Tain, police have said.

Officers in Sutherland are appealing for information over the incident, which happened on Friday at about 2pm.

They said the dog was "similar to the Doberman breed" and was brown. The owners of the dog walked towards Tesco in Tain after the incident, police added.
