Vandalism on cars in centre of Alness in broad daylight prompts police appeal

POLICE have issued an appeal for help after several cars were vandalised in an Easter Ross town yesterday.

The Friday afternoon incident, which saw a number of cars have their windscreens smashed, happened close to the medical centre in Alness.

Asked for details, a Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 4pm on Friday, August 7, we received reports of vandalism against several cars at a premises on the High Street in Alness.

“Enquiries into the incident are ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting incident 2504 of 7 August, 2020.”
