POLICE have issued an appeal for help from the public after damage was done at a car park for a major visitor attraction on Skye.

The Fairy Pools at foot of the Black Cuillins in Glen Brittle are routinely listed amongst the top tourist draws on Skye and feature on many websites for walkers and outdoors enthusiasts.

They are also a favoured destination for visitors who enjoy taking a dip in the crystal clear water.

The appeal comes during a continued period of lockdown as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The police appeal today comes after damage was caused to a container at the Fairy Pools car park, including graffiti.

They say the incident happened between April 28 and yesterday (April 30).

Anyone with information is asked to call 101.

Anonymous tip-offs can also be made via Crimestoppers on 0800555111. The incident number is NP930/20.
