Moped theft in Alness, Ross-shire, sparks appeal for information by Police Scotland officers in the Highlands

A MOPED theft in a Ross-shire town has sparked a police appeal for information.

Officers have appealed for information after a gun metal grey HMC Vogue 50 moped was stolen from the Pipersfield area of Alness.

The theft of the 49cc vehicle took place sometime between 8am and 7pm on Sunday (November 15).

Constable Wilson, of Alness Police Station, said: "The vehicle has since been recovered but we would still encourage anyone with any information in relation to this theft to contact Police.

"Anyone with information in relation to this incident can contact police on 101 or via the Police Scotland website.

"Anonymous reports can be made to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."

The incident reference is "Ref PS-20201114-3087".
