Police appeal following alleged vehicle damage in Macbeth Court in Dingwall

POLICE are appealing for information in relation to an alleged incident in which a motorist caused damage to another vehicle in Dingwall but failed to stop or report the incident.

Although the appeal was made public today, the incident at Macbeth Court dates back to October 10 or 11.

Police said: "It is believed the culprit has collided with a Volkswagen Polo, white in colour, causing damage to the front offside of the vehicle without any attempt made to notify the owner of vehicle and has failed to report to police."

The incident is understood to have happened between 6.30pm on Saturday, October 10 and 10.30am on Sunday, October 11.

Anyone with any information "is encouraged to make contact with police as soon as possible".
