PICTURES: 'Buzzing' Alness street fayre hailed by visitors as local youngsters mastermind day to remember
A STREET fayre organised by young people in an Easter Ross town has been hailed a hit after months of planning came to fruition.
The weekend event in Alness was organsied by Aaron Corr, Keira Manson and Sophie Hynd who are all working towards Youth Achievement Awards.

Much effort and organisation went into planning a day that would showcase Alness High Street as well as please the youngsters.
A variety of traders were on the street along with sideshows and children’s stalls.
Piper Sam Mackenzie opened the day with Soundblast disco later providing the musicThe crowd were entertained by Ann Noble School of Dance, Fyrish Gymnastics Club and finally DNA Dance.
It was also a chance to celebrate the return of 40 hanging baskets to Alness.
Baskets had been absent for a number of years but thanks to community council funding fresh flowers were purchased. Grace Lennox, Margaret Gardener and Alness Academy pupils at The Field planted up the baskets and were hailed for "an amazing job".
The Place youth group later posted: "The High Street was absolutely buzzing with wee ones having such a good time."
Others took to social media to share their thanks.
"Absolutely amazing job that you all put on", wrote Angela Sutherland.
Mama Gail's Something Sweet posted: "What a brilliant day guys.Was amazing to see Alness buzzing with people. Can’t wait till next time."
Elizabeth Morley added: "Well done to all the organisers. As an Alnessian it was so lovely to see our beautiful town buzzing for occasions like these again."
